Middle of the Night

N snuck into bed with me last night at some point. I have no idea when she came to our room. She just crawled into bed and I discovered her this morning. This morning I asked if she came to our room because she was cold. Her response was, "Actually Daddy, I woke up because I wanted to see if the fish (in the aquarium) swam at night." I was curious what she discovered, so I asked. Her response was, "they just kind of floated there." My little scientist.

M said in one of her blog points (the Swedish ones) that she wondered if we pushed our wants for career onto the kids. Maybe we will have a Marine Biologist in our house in the end.

Snail Killing

I almost pulled a M. This time with a snail though. We got one last weekend, Z's choice, and the other night it looked dead. I was about to flush it, but I could not be bothered to get it out that minute. The next morning it was moving around, it was just sleeping. I did not think about it, but of course snails go into their shells when they sleep. Glad I procrastinated a little there.
